PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND COMMUNICATION
Meaningful parent involvement in a student’s education is crucial for his or her success and central to developing the PM Wells Charter Academy family. Regular Curriculum Nights offer parents opportunities to learn about standards-based instruction, the school’s grading and learning philosophies, state assessments, and reading and math activities that extend learning outside of the classroom. School-sponsored events and community-service projects provide parents with multiple ways to connect with students, staff, community members and other parents.
Regular communication with the teacher is encouraged to allow students to track their home learning assignments for each day as messages are sent home via the REMIND App. Please see below for instructions to sign up for REMIND via your phone, a great way for parents to receive the latest updates including announcements, parent letters, and more.
To sign up for REMIND – please sign up for text notifications by sending a text message to the number 81010 with the code below and follow the directions when prompted:
Progress reports and report cards are distributed every quarter, and parents are encouraged to schedule teacher conferences to discuss student performance and progress toward mastery of grade-level standards.
