New Principal for PM Wells Charter Academy for the 2021-2022 School Year We are excited to announce that Ms. Ivonne Sardinas, currently the assistant principal at Victory Charter School, has been appointed as the new principal for PM Wells Charter Academy for the 2021-2022 School Year. Ms. Sardinas brings a long and proven track record of instructional and leadership experience both with NAEP and other school districts and charter organizations. She has served as a Social Studies Teacher, Dean of Students, Guidance Counselor and Assistant Principal in The School District of Osceola County prior to joining the Victory Family. While at Victory Charter School, she served as an Academic Counselor, Testing Coordinator, English Language Learner Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. Under her leadership, senior graduation went from 70% in past years to 98% in 2020.

Her connections with students and parents and consistent communication with all school stakeholders allow her to ensure that all students achieve maximum engagement and ownership over their learning, leaving no one behind in the process via a “one for all, all for one” approach and persona. Her love for education and the children, as well as collaborating with her been a “my school is my second home and family” type of educational leader and we know that PM Wells is all about the family! We are excited about the many successes that PM Wells Charter Academy will attain under her leadership and in collaboration with the PM Wells staff. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Sardinas – a PM Wells Panther! She is excited to meet and hear from parents during the upcoming Parent Zoom session described below (June 8th) as part of her “get to know my new family!” PM Wells adventure.

Staffing Update
We are thrilled to announce that nearly one third of all faculty, including one third of the actual classroom teachers, have already confirmed their return to the PM Wells for the 2021-2022 school year. This is after only one week of collaborative efforts with current staff members – we are in contact with all other staff members to ensure that PM Wells Panther students return to familiar faces in their home away from home. The staff members that have confirmed for next year are excited about their increased salaries, benefits, and most of all – that they will remain at PM Wells.

Summer Academic and Enrichment Camp
We were informed this week that several parents whose students are staying at PM Wells will not have a summer camp option taking place at the actual school. Not to worry! Because we cannot start services in the building until our contract starts on July 1st, we are excited to announce that our sister schools (outlined below) will be hosting PM Wells students for summer camp that will require no change in enrollment and make the process smooth and easy for parents. Summer camp will take place Mondays through Thursdays starting on June 9th-July 15th (no class on July 5th). We have an exciting summer learning support program specifically designed to remediate the previous grade level’s standards to ensure that the student is ready for the next grade level. For example, if a student is going into fourth grade next year, he or she would receive support for third grade math and reading standards to ensure that these are learned well and the gaps do not impede the following grade level’s learning experience. Please see below for scheduling information. To sign up for Summer Camp, please email or call the new Principal, Ms. Sardinas:
Personal Phone: 407-706-7753

*The REGISTRATION DEADLINE is June 11, 2021. Please fill out one registration form (one per student) that will be attending and return it to Victory Charter School.
*Late registrations will be placed on a waiting list; parents will be notified if space opens up. *Face-to-face school will take place at the VCS K-5 and VCS campus located at: – 2880 North Orange Blossom Trail, Kissimmee, FL 34744
*A Remote Learning Option will be available to all of our Knights.

Learning Modality & COVID Protocols for the 2021-2022 School Year
Per information released by state and district officials, the following information answers the questions parents have been asking regarding learning modalities and COVID Protocols for the 2021-2022 school year.

● For the 2021-22 school year, eLearning will not be an option, all students will be face-to-face.
● Considering the decrease in COVID rates and increasing use of vaccinations, face coverings will be optional for all students, staff, and visitors beginning July 1st, which will include our summer learning programs and the 2021-22 academic year.

Parent Transition Committees
To ensure the parent voice is at the table during this transition process, we will be setting up a Parent Transition Committee as mentioned during this week’s orientations. We will be having regular zoom meetings during the coming months to plan activities, school-site programs, and other initiatives that need your voices at the table. Please see below for specifications:

● One parent per grade
● Parents should be able to join evening zoom session to plan and discuss school items

If you are interested, please email if you’re interested (Name, Student Name, Grade, Reason for Joining)

School Uniforms
Please note that school uniforms will stay the same for the 2021-2022 school year. We will be working with past and previous vendors to institute a process for ordering uniforms for parents and will release communication on this in the near future, well before students return to school on August 12, 2021.

Thank you everyone for your attention and collaboration as we work together to make PM Wells Charter Academy a continued success and THE choice for parents in the School District of Osceola. Go Panthers!
